Preserve Your Memories
Wedding Gown Cleaning &
Preservation in Wellington, FL
Cleaned, hand-finished, and packed in acid-free archival materials so your gown looks the way you remember it, not the way storage would have left it.
The Sooner the Better
Champagne, cake, and perspiration do not always show up right away. Sugar-based spills and body oils can be nearly invisible on the day, then oxidize over months in storage and surface as brown or yellow marks that are far harder to remove once set.
That is why the gown you hang in a closet "for now" often looks worse a year later than it did the night of the wedding. Florida humidity accelerates all of it.
Bring it in as soon as you reasonably can after the wedding. If your gown has already been sitting for months or years, it is still worth showing us. We will look at it and tell you honestly what we think can be improved before you commit to anything.
Preserve Your Gown,
Preserve Your Memory
Preservation is not the same as dry cleaning. Cleaning removes what is on the gown now. Preservation is about what happens over the next twenty years, which depends far more on how the gown is packed and what it is packed in.
We clean using methods suited to bridal construction, then finish and pack the gown in acid-free materials designed to slow the yellowing and fabric damage that ordinary storage causes. Lace, beading, and embroidery are handled individually rather than run through as one piece.
Planning ahead? Alterations should always happen before the wedding. Preservation comes after.
What You Get
What's Included
Most of what you pay for on a preservation is invisible from the outside. Here is what it actually consists of.
-
Inspection & Stain Work
Every gown is examined before anything is done to it. We identify visible marks, likely invisible ones around the hem, train, and underarms, and any loose beading or damaged lace that needs attention first.
-
Cleaning for Bridal Fabrics
Silk, tulle, satin, and organza each behave differently, and a method that suits one can damage another. Embellished areas are treated with the construction of the gown in mind rather than as one uniform garment.
-
Acid-Free Archival Packing
The gown is packed with acid-free tissue in an archival box. Ordinary cardboard and plastic garment bags are what cause much of the yellowing people blame on age, so the materials matter as much as the cleaning.

Gown Preservation
What brides ask before bringing a gown in
As soon as you reasonably can. Sugar-based spills and body oils are often invisible at first, then darken over months in storage and become much harder to remove. Waiting is the single biggest thing that limits what can be recovered later.
Not necessarily, and it is worth showing us before you give up on it. Results depend on the fabric, how it was stored, and how far the marks have set. We will look at it and give you an honest view of what is realistic before you commit.
It depends on the gown. Length, train, fabric, the amount of beading, and the condition it arrives in all affect the work involved, so we quote after seeing it rather than from a flat list. Call (561) 530-4881 and describe your gown for a guide price before you come in.
Longer than standard dry cleaning. Preservation is detailed work and is not something to rush, so we confirm a realistic timeline when we check your gown in. If you need it back by a particular date, tell us at drop-off.
Somewhere cool, dry, dark, and climate-controlled. Not an attic, not a garage, and not against an exterior wall. In Florida the enemy is heat and humidity, and an unconditioned space will undo careful preservation faster than anything else.
Yes. Christening gowns, quinceañera and formal gowns, and other heirloom pieces can be cleaned and packed the same way. For alterations before an event, see Alterations & Repairs.
