What Is Wet Cleaning?
It is professional cleaning with water instead of solvent. Conventional dry cleaning is not dry at all; it uses a chemical solvent in place of water. Wet cleaning uses water with detergents formulated for delicate fabrics, in machines that control agitation, temperature, and moisture far more tightly than a home washer ever could.
That "dry clean only" label often means "do not put this in your washing machine." It is not always the same as "cannot be cleaned with water." Many garments do better wet cleaned, and come back softer, with no chemical smell.

Dry cleaning is not dry. It uses a chemical solvent instead of water. Wet cleaning uses water with detergents formulated for delicate fabrics, in machines that control agitation, temperature, and moisture precisely. Same goal, different method.
Often, yes. That label usually means the garment should not go in a home washing machine, which is not the same as saying water will damage it. We assess fabric and construction at check-in and choose the process accordingly.
Shrinkage comes from heat and over-drying more than from water. Our machines control temperature during the wash and sense moisture during drying so garments stop at the right point rather than running a fixed cycle. Some fabrics are still better dry cleaned, and we will say so.

Because there is no solvent in them. The faint chemical smell people associate with dry cleaning is residual solvent. Wet cleaned garments come back smelling of nothing much, which is what clean actually smells like.
Standard items are typically ready within 2 to 3 days. Specialty items may take longer. We confirm timelines when we check your order in.
